Frequently asked questions

Is the QR code really free, with no expiry date?

Yes. This QR code is “static”: the information is written directly into the pattern. It never goes through a server, so it cannot expire or be deactivated. It will keep working for as long as it is printed.

Can I change the link after printing the QR code?

Not with a static QR code: if the link changes, you need to generate a new QR code. To change the destination without reprinting, you need a dynamic QR code, which you can create from your account.

Which format should I choose for printing?

SVG is a vector format: it stays perfectly sharp at any size, ideal for a poster or a print shop. PNG works well for a Word document, a website or social media.

My QR code with a logo will not scan. What should I do?

Make the logo smaller, keep good contrast (dark dots on a light background) and always test the scan with your phone before printing. Light colors on a light background, or a dark background with light dots, are poorly read by some phones.

What is the minimum size for printing a QR code?

Allow at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 × 0.8 in) for close-up scanning (business card, menu). For a poster scanned from a distance, a simple rule: QR code size = scanning distance divided by 10.
